Dear friend
This week we present an interview about Copenhagen with our contributor, Fiona.
Fiona is a freelance strategy and insights director and founder of Not A Lead Singer Karaoke. It’s easy to spot her on the street because she is the most colorfully dressed person in all of Copenhagen.
With care
Søren, Mads & Kristoffer

* INTERVIEW: FIONA O’GRADY *
Why do you live in Copenhagen?
I moved here because it seemed like a good idea and living in CPH often gets discussed based on the weather. I still live here, because in good weather, it really is the greatest idea, living here can be so easy and I am lucky enough to say it is. In bad weather, it still is a good idea (just not the greatest) because living here can be so easy.
Which place close to your home do you always return to?
The many benches in Nørrebroparken, close to the dog park, with beer from the kiosk and watching dogs. I won’t tell you which one is the best sun trap though (good weather). A beer at Bar (bad weather).
What can people in Copenhagen learn from other cities?
Letting imperfections exist and being ok. Occasional chaos can be a catalyst for so many beautiful things. It can be a bit too perfect and ordered here, let’s make living easy for more people.
Where do you always bring visitors from abroad?
For real Copenhagen living, a “bolle med smør og ost" in the park (see above best benches) from Collective Bakery, followed by a walk from Nørrebro to the inner city, with efficient tourism on a canal tour (good weather). Wandering around SMK followed by a drink at Bobbi Bar in the inner city (bad weather).
When do you feel the happiest in Copenhagen?
Those perfect summer days when you meet friends by a large body of water with drinks and snacks. Sometimes you end up staying out til the small hours and can end your night with a late night/early morning harbor dip (good weather). Leaving a sauna cherishing that post-sauna glow (bad weather).
Who do you ask for food/music/art recommendations?
My friends. Eva and Nikos always for food. Holly (who doesn’t even live here) for culture. Jean, Annika, and Karo for music. And Wildflowers email always inspires.
